Imagining Apocalyptic Visions

Kees Zoeteman

Kees Zoeteman (1945) made a long trip to the island of Patmos in 1995 where he immersed himself in the work of St. John and the Apocalypse. It became a theme that stayed with him for the rest of his life. After he turned 65, he began sculpting with Henriette Horlings and intensified his study of the Apocalypse, as can be seen on the website www.project-apocalypse.com. Gradually, the study of the Apocalypse and his sculpturing became more and more intertwined.

With his sculptures he wants to make the content of the Apocalypse more accessible to our time. Not only life on Earth is at stake, but also the future of man as a creative spiritual being.
